Ringlander by Michael S. Jackson

Hello dear friends and readers!

As you know, I don't really email outside of my regular monthly newsletters, but I have something special here. My fellow author Michael S. Jackson, who runs the website Author Interviews (here's mine for Son of the Siren), is a talented fantasy writer. Author of the Ringlander series (which you can presently find on Amazon), he's running a Kickstarter to reprint the first novel in the series, The Path and the Way (and perhaps book two is to come), in a beautiful hardcover edition with sprayed edges and gorgeous artwork.

Here's what the official Amazon description says about The Path and the Way:

Stabby nominated, SPFBO7 semi-finalist Ringlander: The Path and the Way is a fast-paced, epic fantasy adventure full of games, grit and magic.
Holes between worlds are tearing through Rengas. Firestorms are raging as multiple realities battle for control of the elements. Even the Way, the turbulent channel that separates Nord, Határ and Kemen, the lifeblood of the city of Tyr, has turned.

Kyira’s search for her missing brother draws her away from the familiar frozen lines of Nord and south into the chaotic streets of Tyr where games are played & battles fought.

As reality tears Kyira must choose between her family or her path before the worlds catch up with her.

About the Kickstarter

You can find the Kickstarter here, which, as of today, has 21 days left to go. The project funded almost immediately, so what we're looking for is support for additional artwork, special bindings, and more. The bonuses you can get for your support are pretty impressive as well.

To my US readers, although the amounts are listed in £, Kickstarter will show you an estimate of what the cost will be converted to USD. For example, the digital tome of The Path and the Way is £8 but Kickstarter lists it for "about $11" to help you manage your donation.

Final thoughts

This is an awards-nominated epic fantasy that looks to be a beautiful addition to your home library, especially if you like to collect books with sprayed edges and art.

I highly recommend you check out Mike's Kickstarter, and offer support if you can.

Thank you for reading!

See you next time!

Kristina Elyse Butke March 21, 2026 March Newsletter Greetings readers, friends, and family! I regrettably had to downsize my mailing list and do some pruning due to poor statistics that could hurt my newsletter reputation (whatever that means) and I agonized over who to chop. But, chopped I have, and you are now my core readership. Thank you for sticking with me for all of this time! In the meantime, March was certainly the month of madness. We had insane weather in Ohio, from 65-degree days...
